Meet Our Expert Team

Charlie Linblade has been involved in gun dog training and hunting for over four decades. As the owner and operator of Michigan Wing Shooter, his expertise and dedication have helped shape our preserve into what it is today. Charlie is not only a passionate bird hunter but also an accomplished dog trainer, breeder, and former columnist for Woods-N-Waters News. His contributions to the field are well-recognized, and his methods of positive reinforcement training have set a benchmark in the industry.

Charlie is a Life member of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA), the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC), and the National Rifle Association (NRA). He is also a member of the Hunting Retriever Club (HRC), the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation Century Club, and Ducks Unlimited (DU). In addition, Charlie is a retired AKC Hunt Test Judge and a Michigan Woodcock Banding Dog Judge.

Charlie's son, Chuck Linblade, serves as the operations manager at Michigan Wing Shooter. Chuck has been a part of the family business from a young age, training his first dog at the age of ten. Over the past 20 years, he has gained significant expertise, hunting across the US and Canada, and professionally testing dogs in NAVHDA events. The father-son duo's combined experience ensures that every visitor to the Michigan Game Bird Preserve enjoys a memorable and successful hunt.
