Charlie and Chuck Linblade    We are Michigan's original companion gun dog trainers for the foot hunter not field trials. We have trained thousands of gun dogs over 30 plus years using proven 'positive reinforcement' methods. No one spends more time training the owner and demonstrating the dog's progress during training than we do. We train all bird hunting breeds; flushing spaniels, retrievers and pointing dogs. We train the old fashion way with plenty of field time and plenty of birds.

The dogs are worked six days a week with our string kept at nine dogs to insure each dog gets the personal attention they need. Let Wing Shooters handle your training needs and experience the excitement of hunting with a well trained dog.

Training Rates

Boarding and Training:

$200.00 per week.

The fee is all inclusive. Birds, feed (Purina Pro Plan), training six days a week. Meeting with the owner and family every two weeks for a progress demonstration and visit for 1.5 to 2 hours at our shooting preserve. Don't allow a dog trainer to keep you separated from your pet for months at a time. See for yourself your dog's progress. Most dogs completed in four weeks.

Handler's Clinics:

$600 for 6 weeks.

Learn to handle your dog more effectively in the field and house. The class is limited to 4 dogs and their owners and lasts six weeks. Meeting once a week on our shooting preserve for in the field live action with game birds and live gun fire. Retrieving, holding point, hunting close, hunting with other dogs and how to get your dog to listen to and obey you are just a few of the things we cover. The class is made up of people like yourself and dogs of similar abilities. No mixing of hunting styles. Pointers, retrievers and flushing spaniels are separated in their own classes.

No large groups, four dogs and their owners. This is not a lecture series but hands on in the field with live birds. Not like some clinics with 12 to 25 dogs and held by someone who made their name at a horse back field trial in some other state. We know what Michigan hunters need and want.

Private Sessions:

$75.00 per hour plus birds.

Wing Shooters Breeding Program

We breed English Setters and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers from hunting lines for hunters. English Setters pups are $500. Chesapeake pups are $600.

Our English Setters are from hard hunting stock that retrieve naturally and honor point.

Our Chesapeake's have strong swimming and retrieving instincts and sound, friendly temperaments.
