He is also a member of the Hunting Retriever Club (HRC), the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation Century Club and Ducks Unlimited (DU). In addition, Charlie is a retired AKC Hunt Test Judge and a Michigan Woodcock Banding Dog Judge. He was also a Dog Training Columnist for Woods-N-Waters News, having written hundreds of articles over a 20 year period.

Watching a team of well mannered and well trained dogs is a big part of the shooting preserve experience. Chuck has worked with Charlie since he was a little boy and trained his first dog when he was 10. Over the past 20 years he has professionally tested and passed customer dogs in NAVHDA events at all levels including Utility.

He has hunted with Charlie across the US and Canada for both upland birds and waterfowl. Chuck has more experience training hunting dogs than most of the people calling themselves professional trainers today.

We are a private club, for Members only. However, Non-Members may do a trial hunt before purchasing a membership.
